The coal mill is one of the important auxiliary engines in the coal-fired power station. Its operation status is directly related to the safe and steady operation of the units. In this paper, a model-based deep learning algorithm for fault diagnosis is proposed to effectively detect the operation state of coal mills.

The power station consists of six coal-fired units (four 210MW units and two 490MW units) and six gas-based generating units (four 130.19MW gas turbines and two 154.51MW steam turbines). The first coal-fired unit was commissioned in October 1991 and the last unit was commissioned in July 2010.

The Regulations are expected to ultimately eliminate coal tar-based sealant products from the market, therefore coal-tar based sealants, used for surfaces including driveways and low-slope roofing systems, would no longer be available to contractors and consumers. Safer alternative products are available and are discussed in section 3.1 above.
